Scrapbook Album - Part 2

So here I am with part 2 of my Baby Girl Scrapbook. You can check out part one Here. Yesterday I'd left you with a page for the baby to meet all her family members...

Today I continue with her naming ceremony page. Since she is only 15 days old as of today, her name is not yet decided. so I've left the space blank which the parents will fill later on.
See the notebook edge punch? That's my Valentine's day gift. Hubby says he's lucky his wife doesn't care for gold or diamonds!! If only he knew that my wishlist was mile high....he'd watch his words!!  :p

Here are pages for when she celebrates her first festivals in her first year....I've taken the main ones...Holi (Those stamps from Varna were amazing for this page) there's a little rakhi I made with a flower.
This page has fireworks made from Stencils from Sristhi's studio. And the rocket too!! both are inked with distress inks. The alpha stickers on the side are from Printasticks.

These 3 pages track her progress from each month as she grows. The colorful pages are a true rub off from Khushboo's love for bright colors!! The photo corners are MS punch, the number digits and alphabets are die cuts. (vintage market and baby face die)

This is for when she turns one year old.  DCVW celebration stack rocks!! The bottom right is an accordion pull out page.

Page for some more party pics, and some tags for gifts, venues, themes etc when they plan the birthday party.

A requested page for baby's keepsakes, like hair, nails, cord etc. that the mom wants to preserve. both of these are envelopes and with tags.

The last page of the book. A page for just showing off my dies that I didn't use in a long long time!! Here I've asked the mom to paste the sweetest smiling pic of her baby when she can capture it.  I loved making this page..the felt grass, the felt baby clothes and the fence die...just fell right into place!!

So here's my book done. I'll be doing up the video soon, as I haven't been able to show the flip out pages well. Lets see when I get around to doing that.

Hope you enjoyed watching the pages as much as I loved showing them off.
As again, feel free to ask anything that I might have missed out on....

See ya soon!

Baby Girl Scrapbook

Here's my Baby Girl Scrapbook finally done. Took me a loong time...Over a month, but for a perfectionist like me, it wasn't enough...I still wished I had more time to make it a little bit better. Until I could convince myself that the pages were perfect, I kept tearing them down...3 pages were made and torn and re-made, and I thank God I did that, coz those turned out to be the best pages!!

And since its a picture heavy post and I am in a big mood to yack, I'm gonna break this down into two posts...

This cover page is my ultimate pride. I love how it has turned out.  Loads of Roses from spellbinder's dies, floral flourishes, cherry lynn flourish (man these are a pain to cut out...) and some laces and pearls. This album is a big size...10x12
There is a faint hint of a glitter border around the central picture. Done using double sided tape...A short recap of what I've done here using pie lane glitter.  Here I've used Martha Stewart coarse glitter. The background paper is from Papermania Confetti collection (same one I used for my Photo Flip book)

I got this gorgeous lace as a RAK ( you know who you are, Thanks soooo much Girlie) and could bear to use only this much. some adhesive pearls, and little poem written by the Mom completes the page. Of course I wouldn't be me without a butterfly somewhere!! :D

Most of the pages are the ones the Mom wanted and I built the book around her ideas. The page on left, is for the Ultrasound, and her baby bump. The Baby on Board was made using Cuttlebug  alpha dies.

The page on right is for her Baby shower pictures. The bottle and pins are something that was there in her baby shower..they were props and I made them with paper to mimic those. Also the lower page is a flip out page, which has space for 4 pics and a pocket for her guest list and Baby shower gifts.

Her Labor of Love. I belive she made her hubby take a pic before she was wheeled into the Delivery room..and she just wanted that memory too....the lower photo mat is for the picture of the hospital where the baby was born. Alphas are echo park stickers.

Welcoming the little one...the lower photo mat is a flip envelope page and a pocket behind it. The flip page hides the Baby Birth Details behind it.  The pocket holds a photomat for the baby's hand and foot print.

A page for the Baby's Birth Certificate and right- page for pics of mom and dad with the little one...the first pic as a family.

This page gave me the biggest trouble. I could not decide how I wanted to do it. This page was made 2 times!! Since she wanted to include photos of the baby with each of her first relatives...and waterfall seemed the best way to include many pictures in one page.
These two pages hold total of 12 pictures between  them. And I had played around with Shrink Plastic to create charms for the closure of the pages.

Here are what they look like....If you want a bit of more know how on these...let me know...will try to post a small topic of discussion on my blog.

This is how the pages open up and these are small tags for the family members to write their blessings for the little one....

That's it for today...will be back with some more pics tomorrow.

I would love to submit this for the Itsy Bitsy Pattern paper challenge ( I mean the whole book is filled with my most favorite pattern paper, Dhuh!!)

Coffee Cup Card

Technically its not a card...its more like a tag/bookmark with a pocket inside. Its a pocket tag.

Haven't made anything new in ages...been stuck on my baby scrapbook for ages...reason being, I've ripped 3 pages at least 4 times...so that is 12 pages done again and again. Because I'm not happy.
If I'm not happy giving something, I won't give it. Enough justifications, just came by to show this tag..my one and only card I've made for Valentine's this year...probably the last too!!

It for a friend who loves Coffee, well nothing says Friendship and coffee like a coffee cup! Free hand cut the shape, the lid. The sentiment is computer generated, dies are Couture Creations. Its my first take on something truly vintagey. Loads of distress ink used....Walnut stain and vintage photo. This is the most I could for a guy...how I stopped myself from adding flowers and butterflies and ribbons, my poor heart knows!!

Some brown twine and a punched heart says it all!!

The coffee cup lid slides out to reveal a tag...for a little message!! The sentiment is from Lawn fawn..

No heart is ever complete without some glitter and glossy accents!!
